Who is the author of the Raja Gidh Novel?

Bano Qudsia is the writer of this well-known novel. Bano Qudsia was born on November 28, 1928, in Ferozpura. She was a spiritualist and playwright, who was also known by the name of Bano Aapa. She was famous for her writing stage and television plays in Urdu and Punjabi. Not just within Pakistan however Bano Qudsia got huge fame in the US due to her writing. The couple was married to Urdu writer Ashfaq Ahmed.

Bano Qudsia got her early education at the renowned Kinnaird College, Lahore and was admitted to Government College University, Lahore to pursue higher education. She received a Masters degree in Literature from GC University and met Ashfaq Ahmed at the same institution. Ashfaq Ahmed and Bano Qudsia are known as synonymous due to their work in the social sphere.

Bano Qudsia is a well recognized name in Urdu literature. Her short works include as well as dramas like the well-known drama Aadhi Baat. Her novel Raja Gidh gained immense fame because of the best piece of writing featured within the book. She left this world on February 4, 2017
